Mark, is a third generation hills resident. As a naturopathic physician this has shaped his philosophy on the interconnectedness of the human condition and the natural rhythms and cycles found in nature.
Today, many of us tend to view the world as a mosaic, we don’t recognise the interconnectivity of its components, which includes us.
Much of Mark's inspiration is the result of his observations of the environment that surrounds him. His bold use of shapes and colour is a symbolic representation of the beauty and resilience of the natural world and its capacity for renewal.
The work he produces is as unique, as the media he uses (a vinyl collage applied to metal). This not only makes the artwork suitable for indoors, but it has been created to enhance the outdoor environment where it has great longevity.
Mark is having his first exhibition titled ‘YARD ART’, at Roundabout Thyme Nursery in Kallista.
This is a great opportunity to view this original style of artwork in the environment for which it is intended.
