Profile:
Local artist Vyvyan Bloomfield had her first exhibition twenty-five years ago. This current exhibition being presented at Round About Thyme is a variety of works based around a plethora of themes and ideas drawn from the rich tapestry of Vyvyan's life.
Some of the themes explored in this exhibition include "freedom" and "imagination", before drawing on inspiration from events with her family and finally her ultimate muse - Nature.
Vyvyan has used a variety of materials to create these pieces, but it is the everyday objects which inspire her and are then used in the creation of art. This passion for life and ability to draw creative understanding from her interesting and varied background translates well into the artistic medium. |
