Since Lobsang Tendars arrival in Australia three years ago he has been on an incredible journey. Enormous changes have occurred for Tendar, not least becoming an Australian citizen. Throughout this time he has never wavered from his vows or his commitment to spread and live the dharma. His great capacity for kindness changes everyone who connects with him. Consequently the Sangha has grown and the expectations are changing.

Since Tendars recent return from India he has a renewed commitment and purpose for the future, as does the Sangha. It i’s for this reason Tendar has called this meeting to share with his friends and supporters his vision. To clarify what he needs to achieve these goals. So, if you are interested and have a commitment to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha please find your way clear to attend.

Tendar looks forward to seeing you there.

The Tour has been completed and all have safely returned - Jan 2006.

2005/2006 Buddhist Tour of India
- With the Venerable Lobsang Tendar will take you to visit the main Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India and give you a personal commentary on the history of Buddhism and the life of the Buddha. In addition, you will visit Dharamsala to experience life within the Tibetan community in this very unique atmosphere. There will also be an opportunity to visit Gyuto Tantric Monastery where Tendar trained and later taught as a monk. To finish the trip, you will visit the Taj Mahal in Agra and do some sightseeing.

Follow-up:

2005/2006 Inaugural India Buddha Tour

I trust that everyone had a wonderful festive season. More festivities are to come with Losar beginning around February 28. But I will need to get back to you with these details as Tendar is still in India and will return on February 11.

On behalf of all those that came on the inaugural India Buddha Tour, I would like to state what a wonderful and privileged experience we all shared. Tendar's wish was for everyone to have a good time and not get sick. His prayers were answered.

Tendar arranged for a Tibetan guide and Gyuto monks to travel with us. The depth of care and support we experienced doesn’t come along every day. To experience Buddhist holy sites with such very special people is an extreme privilege and every day I am left with the benefits of this special kindness. We were welcomed into the Gyuto Monastery by the manager and received the Tara Initiation from Tendars teacher. We were invited on two occasions for an exquisitely prepared lunch at the monastery. In every way we were treated as honoured guests. There are many stories to be told. These are just a few. Hopefully lots of photos and stories will be posted on the website very soon.

I would like to thank Tendar for all his extremely hard work on our behalf giving us the opportunity to travel this journey with him.

During this time many people have formally taken refuge with Tendar as their teacher. And if other friends would like to make this commitment to the Triple Jewel please consider this an invitation to take up with Tendar when he returns or any time in the future.

Although Tendar is not back from India I suspect the regular Monday meditation will begin on Monday night Feb 13 in Beaumaris 7.30 – 9pm. Check website for address details etc. And please double check via email inquiries@tendar.net to confirm.

A reminder in regard to The Avalokiteshvara/Chenrezig Retreat in March. It is a wonderful weekend for Buddhist and non-Buddhist. Practicing or non-practicing. Be assured everyone who attends benefits from these wonderful weekends in refuge. Details are in the PDF flyer available below.
